My project is about a Parody Trailer. This project was fun to shoot in many different aspects. I personally haven’t ever used my DSLR camera to shoot anything but photos, so this really pushed me to step outside of my norms and do something unique and new to me. Getting my wife, who thinks she’s the next big thing in Hollywood after this production, and my 8-year-old son, who can’t go two takes without busting out laughing or not showing a smile once the cameras were rolling, was something fun for us all. It wasn’t just a bonding moment, but something that my wife and I frequently struggle with in the house. I will say that it hasn’t, thank God, reached a point where he is sneaking around to play video games, but bedtimes are a challenge, and I wanted to tell the story from a scary movie aspect of it. I had a blast going all out and getting some great shots.
